🥁 Okinawa JALT Global Summit 2026 - Everything You Need to Know

Okinawa JALT Global Summit 2026
Language teaching, Okinawan culture, and the world's largest tug-of-war - all in one unforgettable weekend. The Okinawa JALT Global Summit 2026 is our biggest event of the year, and the clock is ticking.

What Is the Global Summit?

The Okinawa JALT Global Summit 2026 is this year's major international chapter conference - three full days of presentations, workshops, posters, and networking in the heart of Naha. Hosted by the Okinawa Chapter of JALT, this conference brings together language educators and researchers from across Japan and around the world under the theme Innovations in Language Education.

It is held during one of the most extraordinary weekends in Okinawa's cultural calendar - the 56th Naha Great Tug-of-War Festival. You are not just attending a conference. You are attending a Guinness World Record event.
